It’s easy, we can teach you how to do it yourself (DIY) in 9 easy steps!

Click here to learn how to make white coral veneer from concrete

The existing substrate are 12”PVC columns, a great opportunity for installing a coral stone veneer with rockmolds.com vertical wall stamps.

Utilizing a vertical stamping system, first a specialized polymer is rolled onto the columns, then a thin scratchcoat is applied with a wall cap concaved trowel.

After the scratchcoat has been allowed to tack up, a 1/2” thick texture coat of the vertical stamp mix is then troweled up, and smoothed out.

A liquid release is then applied to the smoothed out texture coat and to the rockmolds.com coral stamps. This allows an impression without sticking.

The columns are then stamped from bottom to top. Rotate the stamp so that no repetition in the pattern is applied.

After the vertical stamp mix has sufficiently firmed up, usually within 4-6 hours, the joints can be accented by carving out with a 5 in 1 tool.

Let wall cure for 24 hours. Brush off any loose debris. Acrylic latex flat paint is airless sprayed on, first with a base coat of off-white.

After the base coat is dry, a light brown color is sprayed on, then immediately wiped off for an antique finish.

Enjoy your tropical transformation from PVC to coral columns!

The existing substrate are 12”concrete block columns, a great opportunity for installing a wood veneer with rockmolds.com vertical wall stamps.

Utilizing a vertical stamping system, first a specialized polymer is rolled onto the columns, then a thin scratchcoat is applied with a pool trowel.

After the scratchcoat has been allowed to tack up, a 1/4” thick texture coat of the vertical stamp mix is then troweled up, and smoothed out.

A liquid release is then applied to the smoothed out texture coat and to the rockmolds.com wood stamps. This allows an impression without sticking.

The columns are then stamped from top to bottom. Line up the wood stamps to create a ramdom wood pattern.

After curing for 24 hours, brush off any loose debris, and apply a light brown base coat of acid stain.

Brush on more of the same color to create darker streaks, wet on wet to blend the colors.

Finally a darker brown acid stain may be brushed on to highlight with darker streaks, wet on wet again to blend the colors.

Antique the acid by rubbing a layer off with alcohol and rag. This will age the wood.
